02 - THE ROLE

This Isn’t Just About Managing a Project Plan

We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager who wants to be part of that mission. This is a fully remote position, with working hours aligned to North American business hours. Candidates must be comfortable working remotely and collaborating with clients and team members across multiple time zones.

Successful implementation takes more than keeping tasks and dates up to date. We’re looking for someone who takes ownership of the outcome.

Someone who can bring structure to complexity, keep clients and internal teams aligned, spot risks before they become problems, and maintain momentum when priorities, dependencies, or circumstances change.

You’ll manage client implementation projects from handover through to completion, coordinating across clients, consultants, developers, product owners, training, support, account management, and other internal teams.

You’ll be responsible for keeping projects aligned with agreed scope, timelines, budgets, quality standards, and client expectations while giving stakeholders clear visibility of where things stand.

If your natural instinct is to ask:

“What could stop us from delivering this successfully, and what do we need to do about it now?”

then you’ll probably thrive here!

03 - WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

You’ll Love This Role If You

01
Take ownership and proactively solve problems.
02
Bring structure and clarity to complex projects.
03
Think ahead and identify potential challenges early.
04
Communicate clearly about scope, timelines, priorities, and expectations.
05
Keep stakeholders proactively informed.
06
Build strong relationships while holding people accountable.
07
Stay calm and solutions-focused when challenges arise.
08
Confidently coordinate across teams, disciplines, and time zones.
09
Focus on successful outcomes, not just project plans.
10
Pay attention to detail while keeping the bigger picture in mind.
11
Continuously look for ways to improve project delivery.
12
Adapt easily in a growing organisation with evolving processes.

04 - Who We Are

About GovernmentFrameworks.com

Our mission is simple: to improve governance through the use of modern technology and services.

Every day, we work with municipalities across Canada, the United States, Australia, and New Zealand to modernise processes, automate manual work, improve transparency, and help governments deliver better outcomes for their communities.

When we help a municipality successfully implement a better system or process, the impact goes beyond the project itself. It gives local government teams better tools, stronger processes, and more time to focus on the communities they serve.

05 - OUR TEAM

Why Government Frameworks?

At Government Frameworks, you’ll join a global team of people who genuinely care about making a difference.

We live our values every day:

  • Making a Difference: Create meaningful impact and remain agile.
  • Innovation: Challenge the status quo and have an open mind.
  • Relationships: Foster connections for lasting success.

You’ll have the opportunity to work with clients across multiple countries, contribute to meaningful digital transformation projects, improve the way we deliver implementations, and help local governments achieve better outcomes for their communities.

As part of a growing organisation, you’ll also have the opportunity to contribute ideas, improve processes, expand your capabilities, and grow as the organisation continues to evolve.

Experience That Will Help You Succeed

Requirements we are looking for:
2+ years of experience in Project Management

A recognised Project Management certification is considered an advantage, but practical experience successfully delivering projects is equally important.

We’re looking for people who are willing to put in the work, learn quickly, and take ownership of their success.

We’re interested in people who can demonstrate successful project delivery and strong judgement, rather than candidates who simply know project management terminology.

Experience in the following areas will help:

Project management within software, technology, consulting, digital transformation, or professional services environments.

Coordinating cross-functional teams and resources.

Managing multiple client-facing projects simultaneously.

Working directly with clients and managing stakeholder expectations.

Managing project scope, schedules, budgets, allocated hours, risks, issues, and dependencies.

Preparing project plans, status reports, risk registers, actions, and project documentation.

Identifying and managing scope variations and change.

Project management platforms such as ClickUp or similar tools.

Supporting organisational change and user adoption.

Working with municipal, government, or public-sector organisations.

Microsoft 365, including Teams and SharePoint.

07 - RESPONSIBILITY

What you'll be responsible for

As a Project Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the successful coordination and delivery of assigned client implementations.

Manage implementation projects from handover to successful completion.

Define project objectives, plans, milestones, responsibilities, and expectations.

Monitor timelines, budgets, scope, resources, risks, and overall project health.

Identify and resolve delays, blockers, risks, and resource constraints early.

Maintain clear, proactive communication with clients throughout the project.

Build strong client relationships through transparency and effective expectation management.

Coordinate delivery across Product, Consulting, Development, Training, Support, and Account Management teams.

Ensure requirements, priorities, dependencies, deliverables, and timelines are aligned.

Manage project risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.

Track and document scope changes, approvals, and additional work.

Monitor project hours and budgets and escalate potential variances.

Maintain accurate project documentation, updates, actions, decisions, and communications.

Provide timely project reporting to internal and external stakeholders.

Support change management and user adoption to achieve successful outcomes.
